According to Boston University head coach Jack Parker, not much had changed in Lynah Rink aside from the lighting and glass since his last visit to Cornell in 1993. However, Saturday’s 4-1 Cornell win wasn’t reminiscent of the storied battles the two teams fought throughout their 78-year rivalry.

Led by senior forward Sam Paolini who registered two assists and a goal within a 7:30 span in the first period, Cornell (7-1-0, 5-1-0 ECAC) outhustled and outworked the Terriers (7-4-2, 4-3-0 Hockey East) to take the first half of the two-game series on Saturday afternoon.

B.U. took control of the game early, helped by two Cornell penalties to senior co-captain Stephen B
