Sophomore goalie David LeNeveu wore a red and white jersey over Winter Break, just like his men’s hockey teammates. However, his sweater was that of the Canadian junior national team, which competed in the World Junior National Championships in Halifax and Sydney, Nova Scotia from Dec. 26 to Jan. 5.
“It’s the Super Bowl in Canada for kids that age,” said Red head coach Mike Schafer ’86. “It’s a great experience. It’s a learning experience to have to deal with that kind of media and pressure.”
