Teams are measured by wins and championships, players are measured by goals and assists, and goalies are measured by shots and saves. But lines are measured by whether or not they have a name.

Plenty of hockey’s greatest lines have earned their place in history with a memorable name — take the ’50s Detroit Red Wings’ “Production Line,” the “French Connection” line of the ’70s Buffalo Sabres, or the Philadelphia Flyers’ “Legion of Doom” a few years ago.
