For my first two-and-a-half years at Cornell, I had never felt that it was anything special.
Friends back home in the Bay Area would say, “That’s pretty cool that you go to school back East. A little far, but cool.”
My reply: “Hey whatever, it’s cold there.”
Potential employers: “You attend a great University.”
Me: “I guess so.”
Heck, at times (many times, actually), I wanted to be somewhere else. And to be honest, the winter weather hasn’t helped the cause much, either. Snow, ice, lack of sun — Ithaca, and along with it Cornell, seemed to suck.
