We’ve got a little problem over here in the Arts & Entertainment corner (yes, we have to sit in the corner. Baby did a bad, bad thing, if you get our drift). You see, just like every other Cornellian, we want to hop on the Hockey bandwagon. We’d like to do it in a way uniquely suited to our pop culture focus. But to quote the subject of this week’s back feature, there’s the rub. There are no good references to that sport of ice and blood in film or music. Believe us, we’ve looked, and Mighty Ducks doesn’t count. We’re not even going to talk about the sequels. The best we’ve come up with is a rather regrettable Paul Newman flick called Slapshots. Sorry. We looked everywhere. There was pretty good TV show called Sports Night, but although it mentioned hockey, that wasn’t the main focus.

So student filmmakers, if you had just one shot, one opportunity to seize everything you ever wanted, would you take it or would you let it slip? Yeah, we can’t remember the words to the rest of the song, but you’ve heard it a million times anyway, so we’ll just leave you with this: Greg Hornby will take you down, Doug Murray will fuck you up, Stephen B
