MVR Recycling Program Starts

Until recently, students and faculty wishing to discard bottles and cans, while in Martha Van Rensselaer Hall, had no option but to throw these recyclables into the trash. The student group, VOICES, which works to build community within the College of Human Ecology, aims to ameliorate this situation.

VOICES has instituted a new recycling program called Human Ecology Loves the Planet (HELP), to increase the availability of recycling options in the College of Human Ecology buildings.

The program, which began about a month ago, started with the placement of 10 specially designated recycling bins in high traffic areas of Martha Van Rensselaer Hall, said VOICES co-chair, Kate Constantino ’04.
