M. Icers to Face ECACHL Foes

In over two months of play, the No. 5 men’s hockey team has been defeated just once – a 3-0 loss at Princeton on Jan. 14.

Over that stretch, the team has compiled a 9-1-2 record, winning in a variety of fashions – blowouts, scrappy wins, scoring goals in bunches, or holding the other team’s offense at bay.

This weekend, the Red’s adaptability will be taken to task once again, as it welcomes Brown and Yale to Lynah Rink for a pair of ECACHL games tonight and tomorrow night, respectively. The games are the third and fourth of the team’s current five-game homestand.

“Obviously when it gets to this time of the year, to have success, you’ve got to string a some wins together,” said Cornell head coach Mike Schafer ’86. “So [this past weekend] was a good start.
