The Subways

In case you hadn’t noticed, Britain is getting its fair share of revenge after we beat them in such things as the Revolutionary War, the War of 1812, and the war over teeth-brushing.

No, I’m not talking about American fanatasicm over The Office, I’m talking about the infiltration of British rock music. Hailing from the boonies of England The Subways prove to be the latest edition in the craze over the English countryside.

With hooks just as catchy as The Killers, The Subways demonstrate they can rock out for two-and-a-half minutes without eliciting too much lyrical stimulation. Nevertheless, with tracks like The O.C.-approved “Rock and Roll Queen” and the slowly-building “I want to hear what you have got to say,” The Subways will definitely be a staple for those of you who love indie-pop bands like The Zutons, Spoon and The Bravery.
