From the very name of Ithaca, NY to the stately Parthenon-style columns of Goldwin Smith Hall, ancient Greek culture has heavily shaped the Cornell campus. Reflecting on this influence, three Cornell classics professors held a discussion panel on how ancient Greek civilization has impacted Western society yesterday evening in Goldwin Smith's Kaufman Auditorium.
