Company Board Picks Lehman '77

Former Cornell President Jeffrey S. Lehman ’77 was appointed to the Board of Directors of InfoSys Technologies, Ltd., one of India’s largest information technology companies, the board announced Friday. Lehman will hold office until the company’s next annual general meeting, where his appointment will need to be approved by the shareholders.

N.R. Narayana Murthy, chairman and chief executive officer of InfoSys, said in a statement, “It is a big honor for us to have Prof. Lehman on our board. I am delighted to welcome him to our board.”

Murthy is also a member of the Cornell Board of Trustees.

Since stepping down as Cornell’s president last summer, Lehman has served as a senior scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C. He also continues to hold a position as tenured professor of law at Cornell Law School.
