Thurston Ave. Bridge will be closed to cars and pedestrians in both directions starting at 7 a.m., next Friday, Sept. 10. The bridge is expected to remain closed for three weeks while steel arches are installed and will likely re-open at the end of September for south-bound traffic, according to Ithaca City Clerk Julie Holcomb.
