Its easy to knock landlords, but people dont realize what we have to put up with, said Nick Lambrou, managing director of Lambrou Real Estate, while on an inspection of one of his companys 80 apartments on Eddy Street, where the previous tenants had left a beer-soaked carpet. I dont have to replace the carpet, said Lambrou, whose father Gus started the family business in 1962, but of course I will. I care about my students. And I care about Collegetown. People dont realize that I am part of Cornell, too. I’m trying to uphold students to its standards.
