News Brief: Kathy Okun Accepts Development Job at Columbia University

Kathy Okun has accepted a job as Senior Deputy Vice President for Development at Columbia University, the school’s Public Affairs Office confirmed yesterday. The news had first been reported by the blog MetaEzra.com, but Columbia representitives said that they did not have a record of her employment.

Okun is the wife of former President Jeffrey S. Lehman ’77, who resigned suddenly from Cornell in 2005. Shortly after his resignation, she left her own post of senior university advisor for Cornell. Okun did not return an e-mailed request for comment in time for publication.
