The Pipettes' We Are The Pipettes

“I just wanna move, I don’t care what the song’s about,” is only one of the catchy line from the song “Pull Shapes” that has been playing in my head all day and it may very well summarize this abum’s entire vibe.
The Pipettes are made up of an all female trio from the UK and they come together to create the coolest girl band around. The album is a collision of various music styles ranging from past sounds to present trends that strikes the perfect balance between the oldies and the ultra-modern.
Its unique sound — a mix of techno, retro, and of course British pop — will have you humming along in no time. For such a small group, The Pipettes seem to have no problem in coming up with hook after memorable hook. The help of Gaz Parton, of Go! Team fame, separates the album from its other pop counterparts by continuing that retro sound heard on their debut album, Meet the Pipettes.
Give We Are The Pipettes a listen and get ready to dance the night (or day) away. To get a taste, check out the “Pull Shapes” video on YouTube to see for yourself.
