Senior co-captain Byron Bitz and freshman Brendon Nash garnered ECACHL honors yesterday. Bitz, the Red’s second-leading scorer with 24 points, earned a third-team All-League selection, while Nash was named to the All-Rookie squad. The honors were voted on by coaches from across the league.
Bitz recently was named first-team All-Ivy after captaining Cornell to its eighth straight playoff appearance.
Nash’s honor was his first at Cornell. The rookie notched two goals and 12 assists on the season, the third-highest total of any Red defenseman.
