    Lisa Staiano-Coico Ph.d ’81, dean of Cornell’s College of Human Ecology, announced that she has accepted the position of provost of Temple University in Philadelphia, where she will begin working on July 1. She has served as the Rebecca Q. and James C. Morgan Dean of the College of Human Ecology since July 2004.

  • Student May Face Felony Charges for Dog Abuse

    Alexander H. Atkind ’06, a fifth-year Cornell senior accused of beating a dog and burning her with bleach on March 8, was arraigned last Friday on misdemeanor charges of animal cruelty in Tompkins County City Court. Atkind may also face stiffer felony charges of aggravated cruelty to animals if a grand jury indicts him on April 17.
