Asia Night 2007
Saturday 4/28/07 8pm
Barton Hall, Cornell University
Journey to Asian Cuisine:
Cornell Asian Pacific Islander Student Union will be serving premiere Thai and Indian cuisine from two well-known Ithaca restaurants, Taste of Thai and Sangam. Over ten diverse dishes will be served in a dim sum fashion.
Attendees will enter the event with a passport, which provides them tickets to be stamped by over 40 different Asian organizations represented at the MINI Show. Attendees will earn stamps for participating in the tables’ activities; these stamps can then be used as raffle tickets for major prizes, including $750 HD LCD television. Additionally, games, competitions, videos, and floor performances and lessons will be occurring so participants may first-hand witness and learn Asian culture.
Various cultural organizations have gathered the best and the most distinctive groups on campus to provide a big-stage event, where the Cornell community can enjoy and learn different Asian cultures. These groups will be performing on stage to raise cultural awareness. To promote unity under the Asian identity, the Show will also feature a musical performance of an eclectic mix of Asian instruments.
