Freshman outside hitter Katie Marshall of the volleyball team earned Ivy League Rookie of the Week honors as the Red took down Ivy rivals Harvard and previously Ivy-undefeated Dartmouth last week. Marshall totaled 36 kills — averaging 3.60 per game — on offense while also adding seven block assists on defense. In the Red’s upset victory over Dartmouth last Saturday, Marshall racked up a match-high 19 kills to secure 21 points for her team — many of which were in key situations. The outside hitter also tallied 18.5 points with 17 kills and three block assists in Cornell’s win over Harvard last Friday.
