Prof. W. Stanley Taft, art, and current associate dean of the College of Architecture, Art and Planning, was chosen last month as the interim dean of the college to replace Dean Mohsen Mostafavi when he leaves at the end of this semester. Mostafavi accepted a position as Dean of the Graduate School of Design at Harvard.
“We are delighted and very grateful that he has agreed to act as interim dean while we complete the search for the next dean of the College of Architecture, Art and Planning,” Provost Biddy Martin stated in a press release.
University officials also announced the establishment of a search committee to begin the search for a permanent replacement.
Taft has worked at Cornell for over 20 years and was appointed associate dean of AAP in 2003.
