Adam Seabrook ’08, competing for a chance in this year’s Olympic Games, advanced to the finals of the men’s 400-meter hurdles last Saturday at the Canadian Olympic track and field trails. Seabrook, competing at the University of Windsor in Ontario, ran the top spot in his heat at 51.99 seconds. Seabrook’s time was the second-best time of the semifinal round. Seabrook needs a top-3 finish and a time of 49.20 in the final round to qualify for the Beijing Olympics.
Other Cornellians one step away from earning a spot on the U.S. Olympic Team are Muhammad Halim ’08 and Morgan Uceny ’07. Halim will compete in the finals of the triple jump, while Uceny will run in the finals of the 1500 meter.
