Field Hockey Win Streak Increases to Three

The Red ended Colgate’s five match winning streak, 6-4 on Thursday night. This was the first time that the Red beat Colgate in three years.
An offensive barrage from both squads defined the match. The 10-goal game was the first time that the Red has really been able to open up offensively.
The team is now on a three game winning streak, and has won six out of the last seven. The team will play Bryant this Saturday back at home. Coming off this solid victory against Colgate, the Red should look to continue their offensive momentum going into Bryant.
Bryant has lost eight straight games, and recently lost 0-5 to Colgate.
The team has had a rough season so far, being rattled by teams up and down the rankings. However the team is coming off a close 1-2 loss to Rider University.
Bryant’s top offensive talent, sophomore Elise Elisebossenau, has only tacked on eight points this season.
The Red should try to keep their momentum going into a dead week before Harvard next weekend. Last year’s overtime loss was one of the only losses the Red took in the Ivy League.
With Harvard on the horizon the Red are looking strong, and are vying closely for the Ivy title, currently sharing the top spot with Princeton.
