Cornell Police Investigate ‘Strong-Arm’ Robbery

The Cornell University Police Department is investigating a report of “a strong-arm robbery” that occurred on the trail along the south side of Fall Creek Gorge between Stewart Avenue and the Suspension Bridge at about 6:30 p.m. on Thursday. According to CUPD, a female was jogging on the trail when a male grabbed her, “forcibly touched her,” and took her iPod.The victim described the male as “6 feet 1 inch tall, thin build, appearing to be in his early 20s, clean-shaven, with short, light brown hair,” according to the CUPD.Interim Deputy University Spokesperson Claudia Wheatley said that CUPD is continuing to investigate the incident and that no new updates were available as of late Thursday night.
