A 48-year-old woman from Rockland County, N.Y., was arrested Thursday by the Ithaca Police for allegedly raping a 15-year-old male Ithaca resident on two separate occasions.

The woman, Luz D. Grajales, was accused of at least two separate incidents of sexual intercourse with the boy. Police said she traveled to Ithaca from her hometown of Monsey, N.Y. at least twice to meet him. Monsey is approximately 200 miles south east of Ithaca.

According to Ithaca Police Department, Grajales met the boy in an online gaming chat room.

The ongoing investigation has lasted approximately three months, according to IPD.

Grajales is being charged with two counts of third degree rape, and further charges are still possible, IPD said.

Accompanied by her attorney, the woman turned herself into the Ithaca Police. She was released after posting $5,000 bail and was told to appear in court at a future date.
