Cornell Police responded to a report of an individual “walking around the stacks exposing themselves” late Tuesday night, according to Chief of Police Kathy Zoner.

Zoner said she believes the incident occurred in the Olin Library stacks. Additionally, at around 11 p.m. Tuesday, several police officers could be seen conversing with library staff behind the first floor circulation desk in Olin.

Gabe Mahan ’13 said that at approximately 8 p.m. he saw a dark-haired college aged female on the verge of tears speaking to library staff on the seventh floor.

“She asked the librarian, ‘Can you get my stuff for me?’ … She almost broke down crying and said, ‘I don’t want to go back there,’” Mahan said.

Staff from Olin Library declined to comment.

“They’re still investigating [the incident],” Zoner said.
