Like most teenage girls, I have an irrational fear of a lot of harmless animals (namely, any type of spider, worm or leech). Luckily, I have always lived in a suburban American town, so I’ve never had to deal with any truly strange animals like these five, which have evolved the most bizarre means of self-defense and existence:
