On Monday Nov. 5th, senior wrestler Kyle Dake was named TheMat.com’s Wreslter of the Week. TheMat.com recognizes one wrestler each week — from any level of wrestling — based on the past week’s performances.
Dake received the honor after defeating Penn State’s David Taylor in what was dubbed “the Match of the Year.” On Saturday evening, Dake beat Taylor in the 165 pound weight class at the NWCA All-Star Classic, in front of a sold out crowd of 3,376 fans. Dake, an Ithaca native, was also dubbed Most Outstanding Wrestler for the Red squad on Saturday.
