Slipping one spot from last year, Cornell was ranked the 16th best national university by  U.S. News & World Report.

The publication released its annual rankings of U.S. universities late Monday. This year, the publication said it reduced its emphasis on newly enrolled students’ high school class standings while increasing its emphasis on students’ SAT and ACT scores.
