Woman Allegedly Raped at West Campus Fraternity, Cornell Police Say

Updated Saturday afternoon with information that police have located the suspect

Cornell Police are investigating a report that a woman was raped while attending a party at a West Campus fraternity early Friday.

The alleged rape occurred at 118 McGraw Pl. — site of the Phi Gamma Delta fraternity, or Fiji — between 12:30 and 1:30 a.m. Friday, according to the Cornell University Police Department. The female victim told police that the perpetrator is a 6’0″ white male with blonde hair who was wearing an Indiana Jones costume.

After the alleged rape occurred, the perpetrator fled the fraternity house in a southerly direction toward University Avenue and West Avenue, according to CUPD.

As of 5 p.m. Friday, police had located the alleged perpetrator and begun interviewing him.
