    Prof. Kenneth G. Wilson, physics, was a prominent theoretical physicist who won the 1982 Nobel Prize for shedding light on phase changes, the process by which solids melt and liquids freeze. His most acclaimed work offered insight into unrefined realms of physics by fine-tuning existing theories and improving the calculability of phase transitions.
