On Nov. 15, the Cornell men’s ice hockey team skated off the ice at Clarkson’s Cheel Arena after giving up a goal in the last 38 seconds of the game, leaving the Red defeated with a final score of 3-2 . Since then, the Red has not lost a league game, and only has two overall losses in the past 15 games. For a team that struggled to win during the middle stretch of last season, this winning streak — currently at nine games — is particularly notable, but even more so for the way it has built on contributions from all sides of the Red’s lineup.

In late November and early December, the team enjoyed the added offensive boost of junior Cole Bardreau’s return to the lineup. The Red finished off its first semester league schedule in a 2-2 tie with Colgate, in which the top line of Bardreau, captain John McCarron and fellow junior Joel Lowry were all on the ice for both goals.
