President David Skorton said that ensuring financial aid for undergraduates is his “top priority” at a Student Assembly meeting Thursday.

Since the 2008 recession, student financial aid allocations increased by 200 percent, with 59 percent of undergraduate students receiving financial aid last semester, he said.

“The difference between now and what it was before the recession is breathtaking,” Skorton said.
