Cornell’s 12th President David Skorton will leave Cornell in June 2015 to lead the Smithsonian Institution in Washington, D.C., the University announced Monday.
Skorton will serve as the 13th Secretary of the Smithsonian Institution — which is the world’s largest museum and research complex — beginning on July 1, 2015, following Cornell’s sesquicentennial celebration, according to the University.
