This past weekend, both Cornell’s men’s and women’s tennis teams faced off against Dartmouth and Harvard.

On Saturday at home, the No. 46 Cornell men’s squad lost 4-2 to No. 41 Dartmouth in a close scoring match.

Cornell gained a 1-0 lead after winning two out of three doubles matches. At the No.1 position, juniors Jason Luu and Quoc Nguyen beat the No. 20 ranked doubles team in the country, 8-5. At the No. 2 position, junior Sam Fleck and freshman Chris Vrabel lost in a close 8-7 match. To win the doubles point, freshmen Bernardo Casares Rosa and Colin Sinclair broke the tiebreak with an 8-7 triumph.

In singles, No. 1 Fleck snagged a close two-set win, 7-6, 7-5, to grab Cornell’s second point. He was pleased with his performance and noted how his recovery positively contributed to his success.
