TRACK AND FIELD | Men and Women Hope to Succeed in Larry Ellis Invitational This Weekend

The Cornell men’s and women’s track teams will be back in action this weekend, with both squads competing in the Larry Ellis Invitational.

The Red are coming off of strong performances over Spring Break and more recently at the Bucknell invitational and George Mason Invitational.

For the men’s team, junior Rob Robbins provided the highlight of the weekend at the Bucknell Invitational, setting a new school record of 248’11” in the javelin. Freshman Jordan Sherwood also performed well winning the 400m hurdles.

First, freshman Kacie Hargett won the javelin on the Friday, followed by senior Zaakirah Daniels winning the 100m hurdles the following day. Freshman Adrian Jones broke 12 seconds to win the 100m sprint to round off the event.
