Cornell Minds Matter celebrated the opening of an art exhibit called “Faces of Mental Health,” a photo campaign depicting the identities and mental health struggles of Cornell students, in Willard Straight Hall Tuesday.

Saadiya Mutawakil ’14, president of Cornell Minds Mattr — a student-run organization that works to decrease the stigma associated with mental illness — said the exhibit shows each participant in two portraits displayed side by side. She said one portrait depicts a struggle they experience and the other portrays their identity separate from their stresses, worries and concerns.
