Blue Lines and Bylines: Don Birkmayer Reflects

Don T. Birkmayer surveys the table in front of him and selects a yellowing piece of paper from among the printed pages scattered across its surface. Holding it up to the sunlight, he casts his light blue eyes over the sheet and, lifting it to his nose, comments, “that paper smells, doesn’t it.”
