University administrators, local officials and entrepreneurs gathered in downtown Ithaca early Monday morning to celebrate the grand opening of “Rev: Ithaca Startup Works,” a new business incubator supported in part by Cornell.

The downtown business incubator opened its doors Monday at 314 East State St. in the Carey Building, nearly nine months after administrators of Cornell, Ithaca College and Tompkins Cortland Community College — which are operating the incubator together — addressed members of the media in the construction space, bare with wires hanging from the ceiling.
