Olympic swimming champion Mark Spitz — known for winning seven gold medals at the 1972 Olympic Games — spoke about his path to success as an athlete Monday in Willard Straight Hall.

In 2000, Spitz was named number 33 on Sports Illustrated’s list of the “Top 100 Athletes of the 20th Century.” He still holds the world record in several events.
