Two students from Birzeit University in Palestine spoke at a discussion Thursday about the challenges they said they faced while pursuing their education under the ongoing regional conflict between Israel and Palestine.
The discussion — titled “Education Under Occupation: A Call for Educational Justice in Palestine” — began with a film produced by students at Birzeit University, which included a narration about the history of the Palestinian education system since the 19th century.
