Tompkins Consolidated Area Transit routes 51 and 52 will be detoured around Pine Tree Road from June 13 to June 18, a TCAT press release announced.

The road is scheduled to be under construction and closed to traffic for the duration of the week, according to the release.

Buses inbound to campus will turn right from Pine Tree Road onto Maple Avenue and left on Dryden Road to return to their normal route, the release said. Outbound buses will turn left onto Maple Avenue from Dryden and turn right to return to Pine Tree Road.

Both routes will still serve inbound and outbound stops at Maple Hill Apartments and Humphreys Service Building, according to the release.

The 51 and 52 bus routes are currently running on reduced summer schedules that cut early and late trips and remove one stop, according to TCAT’s website. The organization’s Board of Directors approved summer service cuts to 21 lines at an April 11 meeting, citing a shortage of bus drivers, The Sun previously reported.
