After its most successful season in more than a decade, Cornell men’s hockey will look to follow that up and will begin its 2018-19 campaign with two home games against Michigan State, according to a Cornell Athletics message to season ticket holders.
The Cornell Athletics ticket office confirmed to The Sun that the Red will open its season at Lynah Rink against the Spartans.
The Spartans finished last in the Big Ten this past season, sporting a conference record of 6-16-2 to go along with its overall record of 12-22-2.
It will be the first time that Cornell has squared off against a Big Ten opponent since it lost 8-0 to Ohio State Dec. 29, 2015 at the now-defunct Florida College Classic.
The rest of Cornell’s schedule will not be announced for some time, as the opponents are not yet official, according to Cornell Athletics.
