National Program Drives For Marrow Donors at C.U.

Determined to gain potential bone marrow donors, the National Marrow Donor Program reserved space in the Art Gallery of Willard Straight yesterday from 12:00 to 2:30 p.m. Interested students completed an application and underwent a cheek swab in order to test their ability to match the bone marrow of a recipient.

In an effort to raise both money for and awareness of the ongoing conflict in Darfur, the Big Red Relief organization held its third annual benefit concert last Friday in Bailey Hall. Combining musical and visual performances, Big Red Relief aspired to make a difference.


Schiavo’s Brother Faults Media

Bobby Schindler, brother of late Terri Schiavo, spoke to members of the Cornell community last night to promote awareness of issues facing disabled individuals.

After collapsing in her home on Feb. 25, 1990, Terri Schiavo suffered several minutes without oxygen to her brain, resulting in severe brain damage. Although she needed immediate care afterwards, a few weeks later, she only required a feeding tube to regulate her nutrition.


Museum Reappoints Director

Franklin Robinson has been reappointed as the Richard J. Schwartz Director of the Herbert F. Johnson Museum of Art for his fourth five-year term. His reappointment will go into effect on July 1, 2008.
