Trying to finish the season on a high, neither the men’s or women’s team was able to snatch a victory in their final matches of the regular season before nationals.
“We feel like we’re in a really good place; we’re happy with where we’re at.”

A win over Brown would give the men an undefeated road record on the year.
In their showing against regional rival UConn, the women of the Cornell polo struggled to break their losing streak. The Red had its match against the Huskies on Saturday with a home field advantage, but came away with a 17-10 loss. “I honestly can say we just didn’t have a good day,” said senior Emma Eldredge. “That happens. We all get days where things just aren’t working out how we want them to, just as some days we will play incredibly well.”
The team’s previous matchup against UConn was down to the wire, with the Huskies pulling ahead by one goal.
The Red is left with a 2-3 record as they prepare to face UConn yet again on Saturday, this time on home turf.
Only two weeks into their seasons, the men’s and women’s polo teams are already off to a strong start. Both teams are on winning streaks — four games for the men’s team, and two games for the women’s team.
After five consecutive matchups without a win, Cornell women’s soccer finally snagged its first Ivy League victory against Yale on Saturday in 90 minutes of hard fought gameplay on both sides.
The Red is preparing for highly anticipated matchups against Harvard and Colgate, after moving through three games without picking up a win. The team has lost both of its Ivy League contests thus far, and facing the Crimson and the Raiders will not be any easier.
Now with a record of three wins, five losses and one draw, Cornell is looking to bounce back from its losing record and face even tougher competition.
