The men’s and women’s track teams had a successful weekend at the Denault Memorial meet at Barton Hall. The teams’ good performance is indicative of their preperation for Heps.
Freshman Catherine White was key in both matches this weekend, as the Red geared up for Harvard next weekend.
The men’s basketball team won a thriller in Hanover, N.H., against Dartmouth, 79-76. The game was the Red’s first double overtime since Feb 2006.
The women’s hockey team featured a depleted roster in its winter break matchups due to injuries, as well as sophomore star forward Rebecca Johnston being on loan to the Canadian Under-22 National Team at the 2009 MLP Cup.
Sophomore Rebecca Johnston (16) led a Red attack that netted four goals against No. 6 Dartmouth, but shut down against No. 9 Harvard.
The women’s cross country team edged Harvard by 12 points to take home the ECAC championship for the third time in four seasons. Senior captain Aeriel Emig finished second just four seconds behind Harvard’s Nicole Cochran.
