“Beating Penn has been one of the main goals since I’ve been on the team,” said senior captain Sebastian Wolff. “Penn is and always has been a very strong team. Beating them gives us a lot of confidence going into the rest of the season.”
“We are swimming incredibly fast for this point in the season and honestly surprising ourselves with the results,” said sophomore JP Vanderloo.
Head Coach Michael Huyghue ‘83 took over a program that had won one game in its past two seasons and doubled that win total in his first year at the helm.
After only winning once in the two prior seasons, this year has been a step in the right direction under the management of new head coach Michael Huyghue ’83.
Most notably, Cornell held the Spartans to only 76 yards on the ground after struggling with run defense all season.
