The Cornell baseball team is coached by first-year head coach Dan Pepicelli and led by a nine player council. In its 146-year history, the team has amassed a 1665-1839-34 record; a .475 win percentage. The Red has had 14 players drafted by the MLB since the draft began in 1965.

Cornell baseball bounced back from a loss to undefeated University of Virginia by beating Coppin State this past weekend.
Though the new Hoy Field would lack the convenience of its predecessor, it would boast a 15,160 square-foot support building to house locker rooms, batting cages and a press box.
The League’s decision quickly drew criticism for holding steadfast to its eligibility requirements during an unprecedented time — the Ivy League, founded in 1954, has never canceled an entire sports season.
“It was just kind of one of those things, an instant reaction. It’s not like I was mad at anyone,” Urbon said of the tweet. “It’s just more of a disappointment — I spent the last nine months to a year in the training room every day … [The tweet] was kind of just, throwing it out there, and I guess it gained traction a lot more than I thought it was going to.”
“Sunday was a better result,” said Pepicelli. “I still think there’s better in us, but we’re heading in the right direction.”
