For all Cornell students desiring a pet in college without having to undertake a lifetime commitment, look no further — the Alley Cat Cafe allows students and Ithaca community members to foster cats while they wait to be adopted into a forever home.
Prelim season getting you down? Start your morning off with something sweet yet healthy from Chatty Cathy! The charming cafe is located in Collegetown on Eddy Street and specializes in coffee, tea, freshly pressed juices and healthy food bowls. Since it’s opening in March of 2017, students have raved about this juice joint for its health-infused products.
In celebration of Earth Week, students can enjoy a free beverage if they bring a reusable, non-paper cup to any of Cornell’s nearly two dozen coffee shops on Wednesday.
Ten Forward Café definitely showed that vegan food can achieve a wide variety of flavors and doesn’t have to be bland or boring, as it’s sometimes perceived to be.
At Cafézoïde, dining is an entirely communal experience. Food is prepared by community members and eaten amongst community members.
Although I did not try the sandwiches, salads and other food options they offer, based on the couple of items I did try, I was not that impressed.
For a party of six or fewer looking to treat themselves to a wonderful meal in Ithaca at a moderate price, Le Café Cent-Dix will exceed your expectations with its exceptional food, friendly service and casual setting.
Overall, my experience at Chatty Cathy was absolutely spectacular, and the owners were delightful. Ithaca truly is lucky to have this new café. The only downsides that I perceived were the scarcity of seating options, and the relatively high prices for juices and smoothies. Regardless of these drawbacks, I still thoroughly enjoyed my experience and will certainly go back. Chatty Cathy is a great option for coffee lovers, juice fanatics and everyone in between.
