Vice President of Student and Campus Life Ryan Lombardi will take a sabbatical during the Spring 2025 semester.
One year after the Hamas-led terrorist attacks in Israel, Jewish student leaders sat down with The Sun to discuss how the community supported one another amid international conflict and campus tensions.
The underlying formal complaint, however, remains in place and has not been investigated. On Aug. 2 Taal received an email from OSCCS offering to discuss a possible alternate resolution. Taal asserted his right under the CGSU-UE’s Memorandum of Agreement with Cornell to have the Union bargain on his behalf, and has begun to compile a list of witnesses. To date the process has not advanced beyond this point.
With Taal’s permission we are writing to share our accounts, supported by written referrals and our contemporaneous notes, of what happened on the three occasions when Taal was the object of a disciplinary complaint.
The University just suspended two more student protesters, following previous threats that additional suspensions were imminent after four protesters were temporarily suspended on April 26.
Amid the encampment on the Arts Quad, some of the arrested Day Hall occupants are limiting their involvement to avoid escalated consequences.
As of today, we have been withdrawn from all of our current courses, for which we may not receive credit, and we are not permitted to be on our campus (pending an unspecified grace period). As a resident of Mennen Hall, I have also been evicted from my home on campus.
