N.Y. Judge Bans Evictions Statewide, Local Activists Push Protections for Renters and Workers Against COVID-19 Induced Financial Woes

In response to the COVID-19 concerns, Judge Lawrence Malks has enacted an indefinite statewide ban on evictions proceedings. The Ithaca Tenants Union and Tompkins County Workers Center are continuing to work for renters’ rights.
