Your support is crucial to The Sun’s mission.
This year’s Giving Day raised over 12 million dollars for participating University clubs and organizations.
Ithaca-based GiveGab, a for-profit company innovating in the nonprofit space, seeks to make the process of connecting nonprofits to donors seamless, user-friendly and secure, according to Charlie Mulligan MBA ’11, company CEO and co-founder.
In a matter of 24 hours on Thursday, the Cornell community and donors around the world raised almost $8 million dollars on Cornell’s fifth annual Giving Day, around $40,000 more than last year. The Department of Athletics and Physical Education was named the top receiver of donations this year, with gifts received totaling $2 million.
The annual Cornell Giving Day received over 6 million dollars in donations on Tuesday.
“We are always grateful for the deep levels of volunteer support and giving by loyal Cornellians,” Van Sickle said.
The senior class promoted ‘Give for Beth’ in conjunction with the second annual Giving Day, a worldwide campaign encouraging Cornellians to donate to the University.
